Colossians 1:10-12 . .

10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

“In soccer (or you can use other sports), you have to run, you have to have a lot of endurance.  You have to be able to keep up, or run faster, utilize the skills and strategies you have been taught.  You have to build up your endurance. – {Read scripture} – Just like this scripture says, if you live a life that is pleasing to God – {Give examples} – and you ‘bear fruit’ for God, then He will give you the endurance you need to get through  life’s troubles and rocky times.  If you work hard and practice your skills in soccer, then when it is game time, you will have the endurance you need to produce good works, and a game you can be pleased with as far as your effort is concerned.”
